The Crabb Family
On April 16th, 2011 a tornado came through our area and did substantial damage to our home and to our yard. A 120 year old red oak tree was ripped out of the ground and smashed into the back of our house. It crushed the corner of our house and came through the master bath. It damaged several walls including our hall bath and pantry. It also damaged several trusses in our roof.
I placed a call to Nationwide within the hour of the storm event. The representative I talked to was extremely helpful in many ways. We had a claim number and the contact number for Builder Services (a Nationwide Blue Ribbon Partner) immediately. Someone with your National Call Center contacted Builder Services for us to let them know that we had damage to our home and that we needed help. That same night we had Brian Kirk with Builder Services, as well as Shannon and Chip Henderson with Henderson Tree Removal Services ( they work as partners with Builder Services) at our home to help us tarp the roof. By this time it was almost dark and still raining on and off. Their response was immediate. Brian Kirk was there to help us get the process started to repair our home. Everyone was extremely helpful and supportive from day one. We had been through a very traumatic experience (I was home alone when this happened) and from the beginning Builder Services was supportive and understanding. I can’t begin to tell you what a difference that made for us. The next two and half months could have been extremely painful and stressful but thanks to the professional group at Builder Services, we couldn’t have been better taken care of. They worked with Steve Thompson (Adjuster with Nationwide .. btw he is also fantastic to work with) to make sure our house was repaired properly and to our satisfaction. The team didn’t skip a beat.
Initially Brian Kirk ( Builder Services) was our contact as Project Manager. He was fabulous to work with. Chris Bass was also very involved in taking care of us from the beginning. They both made us feel like we were their most important customer. Their responsiveness and concern was appreciated beyond words. Top notch in so many ways!!
Even though Brian Kirk was our initial Project Manager, we were introduced to Terry Hines several weeks into the process. Terry was always available, understanding, and responsive to my questions (no matter how many times I asked the same ones over and over again). His expertise and consultations exceeded my expectations. Terry made sure that the process of repairing our home was running smoothly and that we were moving forward.
Towards the end of the renovations, Builder Services worked tirelessly to ensure that we were happy and satisfied customers. Chuck and I couldn’t have asked for more. We consider ourselves to be very blessed that we were so well taken care of … both by Builder Services and by Nationwide.
I did want to take the time to send this letter of thanks for the OUTSTANDING services and work that Builder Services of NC performed. I wanted to let you know how appreciative we are. Our master bathroom is stunning. We have our home back and we are very thankful.
